Praised by Cleveland Classical for his “exquisite playing” and described by OperAktuell as “simply magnificent,” pianist Or Re’em has established an international career distinguished by artistic versatility and a broad-ranging repertoire spanning from William Byrd and Girolamo Frescobaldi to György Ligeti and Elliott Carter.

A laureate of international competitions and awards in Israel, France, Italy, and the United States, Re’em has appeared in recital throughout Europe, North America, Asia, and Israel. His performances have taken him to leading venues including the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York, the Konzerthaus Berlin, Salle Cortot in Paris, and the Palau de la Música in Barcelona.

As a soloist, Re’em has performed concertos by Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff with orchestras including the Israel Symphony Orchestra, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Israel Radio Symphony Orchestra, Haifa Symphony Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Toruń Symphony Orchestra. His repertoire encompasses major keyboard cycles such as Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier and Chopin’s complete Études and Preludes, which he has presented in both Israel and the United States.

Festival appearances have included the opening concert of the Beethoven Festival in Rolandseck-Remagen, Germany, the inaugural concert of the International Schubertiade in Tel Aviv, and a featured recital at the CLAMO Music Festival in Murcia, Spain. His performances have been broadcast on Israel’s national classical radio station, Kol HaMusica (“Voice of Music”), as well as on radio and television networks in Germany, Serbia, Spain, and China.

A dedicated chamber musician, Re’em has collaborated with distinguished artists and ensembles, including the Talich String Quartet at the Musica Mundi Chamber Music Festival in Brussels and the Voice of Music Festival in Israel’s Upper Galilee. He is the founder and former Artistic Director of the Music in the Circle International Music Festival in Cleveland, Ohio, and since 2022 has served as Artistic Director of the Zurich Chamber Music Society.

Re’em is a graduate of The Juilliard School and the Cleveland Institute of Music. His principal teachers include Matti Raekallio, Arie Vardi, Tomer Lev, Hanna Shalgi, Kathryn Brown, and Irina Andrievsky. He has also worked in masterclasses with Dmitry Bashkirov, Sergei Babayan, Murray Perahia, Yoheved Kaplinsky, Joseph Kalichstein, Emanuel Krasovsky, Christopher Elton, and Richard Goode.
